Criminal Defense FAQ

Skilled Representation Can Make A Huge Difference

When you are facing criminal charges, you are likely anxious and overwhelmed. You need the help and guidance of someone who knows the system, who has helped countless people get through the same problem you have. My name is William Cristman. At my firm, Cristman Law Office, PLLC, I make sure my clients have the answers and the help they need.

Answering Your Questions, Easing Your Mind

I founded my firm because I believe everyone should have access to excellent legal services, including criminal defense. I serve clients with issues, including DUI, drug crimes and violent crimes.

Because I am experienced in these matters, I can answer some common questions I receive.

What makes something a felony? The qualifications of a felony are generally laid out in law. However, the prosecution may decide to charge you with a misdemeanor if your lawyer makes a deal or if they don’t have sufficient evidence.

What kind of sentence am I facing? It varies based on the offense. Generally, the more serious an offense and the more airtight the prosecution’s case, the more severe the penalty. I work to get my clients the best possible outcome, which means I work to get the sentence reduced if I can. Without the help of a skilled lawyer, any somewhat serious case could land you in jail for years.

Can you get my charges dismissed? I can never guarantee a result. However, I am experienced in criminal defense, and one of the positive outcomes I have gotten for my clients in the past is a dismissal of charges. Whether I can get it for you depends on your situation, including the severity of the crime and the amount of evidence that the prosecution has.
